Winter training is progressing nicely here with good snow trails for the dogs.
The training this week was great with four days of running on beautful trails. The dogs got experience this week with head on passing, some speed runs and running in blizzard conditions.
Tuesdays run run was 8 miles with the "A" Team and through bizzard conditions. The last 3 miles of the run was in white out conditions and the team handled the difficult conditions without any problems.
I was very impressed with their ability to handle the longer run and the adverse conditions!
This week also gave us time to work with young leaders, Lloyd with his third run at lead and Levi with his first oportunity in that position.
Levi is still a puppy in the head and although he did a good job for his first run in lead, he would loose his concentration to take time to play with Kira his Co-Leader. I was amazed how well Kira handled his playfullness and kept her concentration.
Levi is very much like his father Blue at this age with his serious running in the team and his playfullness when at lead. This will improve with age.
We got extra snow all week here and now the temperatures are falling well below zero.
The lake has now frozzen across. However, the ice is still not safe to journey out on.
