Sitting here with friends gazing at the moon over the still water of the lake listening to the sound of silence in Nature is such a beautiful thing!
A rare Blue Moon for August with the next one in 2024.
I am so grateful for the Nature I live in and being able to experience this with some of my closest friends.

Sometimes, time seems to pass so quickly!
Here is a photo of the last litter here of Blue/Indigo puppies.
They are all grown up now and are all supper stars running here at Miortuk.
Oh, I so miss raising puppies and seeing them mature into outstanding adults!
However, back to the present.
It has been a very hot/humid week here making kennel life here very quiet.
Although, we have had a brief relief this weekend, next week is calling for more of the same hot/humid weather.
Soon Fall will be here and the running will commence for another season.
Until then, patience is required!

"There Is Excitement In The Air Here In The Northern Forest!"

No, we haven't started running yet.
However, the weather this last week and now, feels more like late September/October than the end of July and the beginning of August!
Daytime temperatures in the mid teens and single digits at night.
The change in temperatures are getting the dogs riled up with the expectation of the start of an new season!
It also starts the planning of what we are going to do this next season.
How will we make up the teams, who will get more leader training and who will we couple them with.
It is nice to get excited to think ahead after some difficult times this offseason.
Although this cool weather won't last and we still have lots of Summer yet ahead of us, it feels great to think of this upcoming season and the new adventures to be had running these magnificent athletes!
