There was enough rain, that the lake rose to spring levels. This the third time this year that water has risen to those levels. Earlier in the week, there were some beautiful sunsets to finish the day.
The warm humid temperatures earlier in the week produced an abundance of mosquitoes and the rain at weeks end will not help as well.
The good news is there appears to be an abundance of Dragonflies (libellules). They are a welcome site as the main items on their diet is mosquitoes and black flies. They eat five times their own weight each day.
The dogs are not being bothered by the flies this year and the only thing I can use to explain this is the garlic powder in their food.
The two dogs I would like to introduce this week are Yoda And Darth.
They are the youngest members of the team being 11 months old and are the product of the Frodo and Tanya breeding.
Both of these dogs were ran in harness at end of this last season.
They both did exceptionally well and were very serious while running. There is a video of their first run on the puppy page.
They are fun outgoing puppies, with Yoda being more of a rebel, and love to play.
These two will hopefully get to a race at the end of the season just for the experience.
Until next week........
