They were both made on the hottest most humid week we have had so far this Summer.
The temperatures here @ Miortuk reach 37 Celsius with the humidity readings in the 90's. Most of the week the temperatures were in the 30's with high humidity making for very uncomfortable conditions. This week also produced a couple of storms with the worst on Wednesday. That storm lasted only an hour, but it produced high swirling winds, a torrential downpour that hit the chalet from all directions at the same time. It also produced violent thunder & lightning! .
Luckily only a few small trees toppled over causing no damage.
I am so use to the colder temperatures of our Winter that these hot/humid days are a shock to my system.
Only a couple of months before starting Fall Training with the dogs!
The dogs handled the weather without any problem. However, Max was upset by the storm & didn't eat his supper on Wednesday Night. He was back to normal on Thursday.
I have plenty of ground Deer, so it was decided to make some chili to freeze for the Winter. It took 8 hours simmering the Slow Cooker to produce a delicious Venison Chili. I was very pleased with the results of my homemade recipe.
In the Spring, I had decided to make new insulated houses for the dogs & this week I completed the ProtoType. Now, I will cut & make all the components for assembly later this Summer & early Fall.
Interesting observation: with Summer Holidays here, all the Oil Companies have raised the price of fuel.
What a coincidence!
Until next week.......
