"Training Continues In The Northern Forest!"

The training is progressing and the teams are shaping up. The "A" Team had the addition of Lizzy this week and she worked great with Hok'ee. This week Indigo ran lead with Bergen getting her some lead time. They made a great pair! We now have four dogs running lead in the "A" Team.
The "B" Team is starting work more and more as a unit with the young dogs looking real comfortable in their new roll as Sled Dogs!
The trails this week were a mix of nice soft sand to hard, sharp frozen surface. Luckily there was enough good conditioned days to get in all the desired runs.
The dogs diet is changing with the addition of red meat to increase the protein in the feed. We are also adding a vitamin syrup. With the change in diet, the dogs are getting more excited for the training sessions and showing a quick recovery after each run.
We are getting some new snow this morning and the forecast is for rain/snow mix throughout the week.
The puppies are getting out more now and exploring the great outdoors.
Yaluk And Tepeu are getting their early introduction to harness working and should be ready soon to run in a team. They are looking real eager to run.
