The week started off with nice, new snow and ended with rain. The weather is very typical for this time of year.
Soon Winter like weather will be here to stay!
The good news is the lake froze over this week & even with the mild temperatures during the day, the ice has remained. If it can last until Tuesday, we will be in luck as cold temperatures return along with some snow.
We were able to get in three good training runs this week.
Hydro Quebec had crews out trimming the trees around the power lines to prevent power outages this Winter due to snow and ice.
This created a problem for training as the crews were blocking the trails, especially for the 6 mile extension. The decision was made, if we can only use the 4.5 mile loop, that we would work with different Leader combinations and give Bergen a break from running lead. We had fun and great success running combinations with Cobalt, Indigo and Perle in the "A" Team. In the "B" Team Katie ran with Max giving Angel a break.
A training run earlier this year, with Katie and Angel running Lead, at the end of the run when the dogs were receiving their snack reward, Katie stole Angels snack. Since then Angel will have no part of Katie running Lead with her.
"Hell hath no fury as a women's scorn!"
The puppies, Yoda And Darth, are getting more time out of the Puppy Pen to explore the outside world and to visit their mother, Tanya. It is fun to watch them interact.
