This week an area was cleared here for the removal/storage of snow expected this coming Winter. In the past, it was very difficult to get out of here towards the end of the season with the build up of snow. This coming season, there should be plenty of room to pile up the snow from the access road and parking area. Also, a new battery was installed on the plow truck for easy starts.
Left to do on the plow truck: fix the plow brace and change the oil/filter.
I couldn't help reminiscing of last Winter/Spring and the pleasure I had with Cobalt training the puppies. She is missed here with her parting this Summer. It will be a strange running season without her exuberance and happiness to run leading my team.
Also, it was great to see the progress in little Kira overcoming her shyness and feeling at home here at Miortuk. She has developed into a supper Leader as well as being a little sweetheart.
It has been a week of rainy weather and storms!
However, that negativity is countered by having more time to think of delicious meals, preparing them and of coarse indulging myself.
Unfortunately, a neighbour passed away of a heart attack and went undetected for several days. This can be a problem with living alone here in the forest.
It is a reminder to enjoy every day and the blessings of the simple, idyllic life here in the Northern Forest!
I also got new glasses this week with Crizal lenses.
I can now see with such Clarity!
Until next week.......
