"TRAINING RUNS RETURN IN THE NORTHERN FOREST!"
Yes, the training runs returned after a seven day layoff due to poor training conditions. On Monday, we received freezing rain that left an ice crust on top of the snow received late last week. Then on Tuesday, it rained all day wiping out the snow and that night the temperatures plunged below freezing leaving an icy mess. Finally on Friday morning, we woke up to see a beautiful snow storm that finally covered the icy conditions allowing training to recommence. After snow all day Friday & into Saturday morning, we ended up with 6" of fresh , new snow.
The dogs were sure happy to get running again and so was the musher. We got in two training days for the week in good snow conditions.
