Today, we went to visit a friend of mine Eric Laforce and his son Samuel to see some new dogs that can help us reach our future objectives in the Open Class Sprint Races here in Quebec. We got to run some dogs there this morning and made a decission to return with two yearlings and two puppies ( one 6 month old male and one 5 month old female). All these dogs are from top sprint bloodlines from North America & Europe. This week when I get some good photos then I will update the "PROFILE" section.
This was also a good week for training, getting four days of running two teams/day. The 4.5 mile runs are now being completed with only one 2 minute rest stop. The dogs speed is increasing and the early conditioning runs are paying off with the teams endurance. The dogs are certainly not tired are getting ready to increase the length of the runs.
The lake froze over on Wendsday night. However, with the warmer temperatures on Saturday and today, it is staring thaw out again. But, the freezing is a sign that Winter is approaching.
I also enjoyed a great day searching out new trails with Rosaire Perron.
Until next week......
