" WET & MILD IN THE NORTHERN FOREST! "
It was a wet & warm week here at lac Charland. This photo shows the fog over the ice on the lake caused by the moist/warm air. Along with the rain, we are received several days of beautiful blue skies and sunshine. The weather this week is rapidly melting the snow & ice. Today, You can see a lot of open water on the lake. The colors are in a stark contrast with the pale blue sky, the deep blue water, the vibrant greens of the pines and all contasted by the white of the melting ice.
Half of the kennel, the part that receives the afternoon sun, is now dry and free of snow & ice.
The dogs are enjoying the sunshine today in contrast to the rain & strong winds received during the week. The breeding of Cobalt & Tony was completed this week and all we can do is wait to see if it will result in puppies. The dogs feed is now been slowly changed to a more protein and less fat diet for the off season.
The BBQ last weekend turned out great and now I look foreword to more of the same through the Summer. It is a real pleasure to grill outside in the warmer weather. The dogs also enjoy the smell of the meat on the grill.
