"NOT MUCH SUN, BUT A LOT OF MUCH NEEDED RAIN IN THE NORTHERN FOREST!"

It has been a rainy week here with little sunshine & some cooler temperatures at night. Most mornings & some evenings there is a blanket of fog over the forest & especially around the lake. With the fog comes an eerie silence! All seems deathly still. When the fog dissipates life in the forest returns to normal.
With the departure of Leo, Coyute, Elmer & Minnie, the kennel was reorganized moving some dogs to a new place to make the kennel more efficient. Cosmos was moved next to his brother Golliete & Tony was moved next to Blackie. Cobalt was moved to the front of the kennel behind Tanya & Sophie was moved from the male side of the yard to Cobalt's old spot. Now all the males are together & so are the females. Everybody seems to be getting along with the new arrangements & their new neighbors. 
It is interesting to see some of the trees leaves turning color already. I am not sure if this is a sign of an early Fall or the lack of rain we have been experiencing. However, the Humming Birds are eating more & the Fireweed's blossoms are just about finished. These are all signs of Fall approaching.
It wont be long before Fall conditioning will start for the dogs & me.
