Sunday, Monday lots of ran accompanied by strong winds Monday night.
Tuesday & Wednesday good for training and then more rain and warm temperatures and finally snow on Sunday morning followed by rain.
Tuesday morning before the runs, we had to go out and cut 6 trees that had fallen with the wind and blocked the trail.
The two runs we did get in were good. As you can see in the video, the leaders know how to steer the team around the water on the trail and when there is no choice, run right through it.
As the temperatures had dropped on Friday night into Saturday morning to 0 c, we decided to not train as we didn't want to have the dogs feet wet in these temperatures with large parts of the trail under water which could lead to feet problems (splits on the there toes).
Knowing when to run and when not to run is all part of training.
Patience is important!!!!
Until next week........
