The seasons are starting to change with cooler nights and early morning mist/fog blanketing the lake.
However, Summer has not yet lost its grasp on the forest.
This week there were hot/ humid days with the temperature reaching 30 Celsius. These temperatures along with the humidity made for some very uncomfortable days for working outside.
Wednesday night into Thursday morning, very heavy rains here in the forest causing the lake levels to be as high as Spring time after the Winter melt.
The trees are starting to turn color and the Hummingbirds have departed the forest to make their migration south.
After the long Labor Day weekend here, many of the Summer Cottagers have closed up and will not return until next June.
On Monday evening, I witnessed the return of the first Grey Jay. These welcome inhabitants will be here until Spring.
This week, I also watched a beautiful Bald Eagle soaring around the chalet and over the lake.
A friend of mine,Julie Albert, captured some beautiful photos of the Northern Lights here one evening.
With return of some cool nights, the dogs are starting to get excited anticipating the start of a new running season.
This week ended, with some great meals and the company of good friends.
A fitting finish of a nice week.
Until next week.......
