With the good weather comes some beautiful sunsets and mornings that are so still the lake becomes one big mirror.
Very fortunate to enjoy Natures beauty everyday here in the forest.
This week, with the exception of the rainy day, the flies were no problem. The Black Flies are almost finished for another year. The mosquitoes are here until the first frost. However, they are only bothersome at dawn, dusk and rainy days.
The dogs are still enjoying chasing the butterflies who seem to enjoy teasing the dogs as they pass through the kennel. The balance of the day, the dogs just relax until dinner time.
Kira is improving every day with her shyness. I spend around half an hour in the morning and after feeding just sitting and petting her. She is now relaxing while she is being petted. Kira is my project for the summer.
The dog we would like to introduce this week is Frodo.
Frodo is one of two males of the Hobbit litter.
Last season was his first year for running and he was outstanding. He is very fast, focused and an enthusiastic runner.
In the kennel he is a very easy keeper, eats good, drinks good and loves attention.
Frodo has shown signs that he could be a leader and will get opportunities this coming season.
Frodo will be running in the team for some of the Open Class Races.
We would like to introduce Ashleigh Moylan who will be joining the Miortuk Team for the 2016/17 Season.
Welcome aboard Ashleigh.
Until next week..........
