First the lack of snow has caused more cancellations and postponements for the races here in Quebec. The race at L'Epiphanie this weekend was cancelled and the the Race next weekend at St. Luc was postponed until the last week of February.
This is very frustrating, but it doesn't change the fun we are having running dogs.
It is a new challenge to try to keep the teams at their race readiness, so we continue to run them for exercise and to keep their attitude at a competitive level. The good news is the trails here are very good and all the dogs are having fun.
So are we!!!
This week, all the puppies got out for their first run in harness in a team.
I am happy to announce they all did great. As a matter of fact, they were exceptional!!!!!
Above and on the Puppies Page are videos of their first outing.
This is one of the best litters bred here at Miortuk!
It was so much fun running them and seeing their attitude to running as well as their seriousness in harness.
Also today, Judith and Julian had their first experience running with a team of dogs.
They are thrilled with the experience! They both did a great job for their first outing!
So even with the frustration with the race cancellations, we had a great time here.
I want to express my thanks to Rosaire Perron for all his efforts and work over the last 15 years on running, preparing the race at L'Epiphanie and making it a premier event. I know how disappointed he is that the race was cancelled.
Until net week......
