The weather this week was a mix of hot/humid days and some heavy rains. Luckily here, we didn't receive the violent weather that areas around us did.
The rain did bring out and stir up an abundance of mosquitoes making life a little more exciting. The black Flies are gone for another year. The Deer and Horse Flies are also subsiding making for more pleasant times spent outside.
Luckily through all the fly problems, so far, this year the dogs have not been bothered to much.
The dogs are continuing to get excited chasing the Butterflies and going crazy when the rabbits make their appearance around the kennel. Other than that the dogs are enjoying their relaxation time before the start of another season of running. It is funny one morning this week the temperature was below 10 degrees Celsius and the dogs were all excited expecting to go running.
This week, I would like to introduce Pippin.
Pippin is Frodo's brother and the other male in the Hobbit litter.
He is also a very good runner and a strong puller. He is taller than Frodo and more reserved in his attitude. Pippin doesn't waist any energy getting excited during hook up. But, when you give the command to go, he is all action.
He is also a very quiet dog in the kennel and loves to get individual attention.
He is a good eater and drinker, a real easy keeper.
Pippin will definitely be racing this Winter and I expect him to be part of my 12 dog team.
Until next week...........
