With the rain and the wet swamp, the mosquito population is bursting with these blood thirsty critters!
There seems to be a lot more of them this year as compared too past years.
The mosquitoes here are quite small and can find their way into the chalet through the smallest cracks and hang around the doors allowing them entrance whenever the doors are opened.
Sunday, I had to go for a meat pickup for the dogs to top up the freezers. It was the normal Summer pickup of 20/50 lb blogs of ground beef. This takes place every five weeks with 4.5 hour round trip.
With the mosquitoes swarming around me, it was a quick as possible transfer from the truck to the freezers.
However, there were some stunning sunsets and calm, sunny periods.
There is always beautiful moments here in the forest.
The dogs are very quiet through these rainy periods and are not bothered by the mosquitoes. This is probably due to the garlic powder that is placed into their daily diet.
As a through back to last Winter, here is a photo of Lance & Levi at around 9 months of age.
The pups will be a year old in a few weeks.
The time sure seems to fly by!
Until next week........
