It was a great week here with warm temperatures & some much needed rain.
Leo, Coyute, Minnie & Elmer all were adopted this week & left for their new home. It was difficult to part with them. However, they are with a good musher who will look after them as well as ensuring they get the exercise they need & they will help him achieve his dreams of distance Racing.
This week, I will introduce the balance of my racing team for this coming season.
Angel is very nice size female Leader & was a running mate with Willy all last season. She is an experienced race leader & lead my team at the race in L'Ephphanie last season. She is a little shy until she feels comfortable with new people & then she is a real pet.
Blackie is a very strong, fast, smooth running dog. He has run lead for me in training, however his best position is Wheel. Last year Blackie & Blue made a great pair at Wheel & ran that position all season. Blackie just loves attention & you can be sure to get a kiss if you get close to him.
Cosmos is a Blackie son and is also a very fast, smooth runner. He has ran Lead for me, however he is more comfortable back in the team. He is a little shy until he sees a harness & then he is your best friend. He will probably get some more lead service this year with training some new leaders.
Golliete is Cosmos brother & last year became one of my most dependable performers in the team. Until last season he was a little insecure in the team however with a lot of work & encouragement, he has turned into a solid performer. He has speed, strength & when he turns it on you can feel the whole team surge ahead. To me Golliete is a real success story & I am very proud of him.
Max is an incredible leader! Always ready to go & give you his best performance. He has become totally devoted to me & watches my every move in the kennel. We enjoy some great contemplative moments sitting together at his house. He is an excellent race leader as well as a patient teacher of young leaders. He did a great job last season working with Cobalt.
Tanya is a sweet, affectionate female who loves to run as well as getting pets. She will run anywhere in the team with the exception of lead. She & Indigo made a great pair last season at the point position.
So that is it, my team for this coming season!
