The first of the week was seasonable with a few inches of snow falling each evening giving a nice small blanket of snow on the trails providing great conditions for running.
Again this week, we were experimenting running with different Leaders on the second team. Kira is handling all these changes very well.
The above video is of Bergen running lead with Kira. This was a good combination. But, not necessarily the solution for the races, as Bergen has been training to run on the Open Team.
This week, we also moved Levi into the "A" Team to see how he could handle the pace. We also moved Pippin back to the "B" Team to take some of the stress off of him. Both changes worked good and we accomplished our mission for the changes.
Starting Wednesday Night trough to Saturday Morning, we were experiencing some extremely cold temperature between -20 to -30's. During these type of temperatures, I prefer not to run the dogs to prevent the possibility of frost bite to their lungs.
The upcoming week, the temperatures are to be more seasonal and with some more snow.
On Thursday, we had a visit from Sylvie and Philippe from Takata Furs. It was great to finally meet them and to see first hand their beautuifully made mitts and hats. I also like the idea that all their products are made from recycled furs. I was so pleased that they preseneted me with a great pair of Coyote Expedition Mitts along with a pair of Beaver Mitts. I also purchased a fantastic Coyote Hat. No more cold hands and head here.
You can see some of their great products on the Equipment For Sale Page.
Thank you Takata for your support.
Until next week......
