"RED SKY AT NIGHT IN THE NORTHERN FOREST!"

An old English sailors poem:
" RED SKY AT NIGHT, SAILORS DELITE.
  RED SKY IN THE MORNING , SAILOR TAKE WARNING!"
This saying held true, as the next day was beautiful.
It was a week with mixed weather, hot/humid at the beginning, mid week - stormy then cool and finishing the week warm/humid weather returning.
The storm on Wednesday night came with strong winds and then hard driving rain as the cold front passed here.
The dogs were not impressed with the storm and stayed either in or under their houses to ride it out. They did enjoy the cooler temperatures afterwards.
The storm did not cause any damage here, so all was well.
