"WINTER VISITORS ARE BACK IN THE NORTHERN FOREST!"
Picture
The Grey Jays are back looking for food snacks at the chalet. They return in the late Fall and stay until the Spring enjoying hand outs. They are not afraid of humans and in time will come and take food from your hand. A couple of Winters ago, I had forgotten to put out their food in the morning so one of the jays came to the sliding glass door and tapped on the glass to remind me.
Last week was another week of mixed weather. Again warm during the day and below freezing at night. Thursday night and Friday, we had rain. Snow is in the forecast for the end of this coming week. I hope the forecast is correct.
This crazy weather again caused problems scheduling training runs. Due to the hard trail, we continued with 4.5 mile runs. The good news is the dogs are really hyped and enjoying the quick paced training. They will be ready for longer runs when the snow finally comes.
Until next week......
