"EARLY MORNING MIST IN THE NORTHERN FOREST!"
Picture
With the cooler nights and the relatively warm water, we are enjoying early morning mist or fog.
The weather this week has been interesting from cool to below freezing temperatures in the morning to warm/humid temperatures in the afternoon.
This week, we were able to get in 4 conditioning/training runs. We are still running with a 2 minute interval runs. This type of training utilizes a 2 minute run followed by a 2 minute rest. When the training was started this fall it was taking 12 segments to cover the 4.5 mile trail. This week the two teams now require only 10 intervals to cover the same 4.5 miles. The dogs enthusiasm and their ability cut the number of intervals from 12 to 10 displays the dogs conditioning is improving.
This week marked the beginning of Autumn and along with it the increasing number of flocks of Canada Geese migrating south for the Winter.
Can snow be that far away?
Until next week........
